John Hull joined OVP Venture Partners in 2004 and focuses on investments in the wireless, communications and semiconductors sectors. His investments include Advanced Inquiry Systems, Gainspan Inc., Orb Networks, and Tzero Technologies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of all four and is a Board Observer to AdmitOne Security, Ambric, Avenda and Complete Genomics.

Prior to joining OVP, John was the Director of the $500 million Intel Communications Fund, one of Intel Capital's investment programs, which invests in companies developing innovative networking and communications solutions worldwide.  John joined Intel in 1993, held senior positions in a number of divisions, and joined Intel Capital in 1999.  Since 1999, the Intel Communications Fund invested in over 100 companies based in 17 countries, on five continents.

John earned his BS in Biotechnologies Management from University of California at Davis and his MBA from the University of Michigan where he graduated with High Distinction and was the Pryor Award winner.  John serves on the Board of the Oregon Chapter of TiE.org and is Chairman of Venture Northwest for the Oregon Entrepreneur's Network.  He is an adjunct professor of Venture Finance within the Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland.
